Two Roads.

Too often in my life, I have swum against the tide. I will not say I have defied convention to a great degree, perhaps in the eyes of some I have.  But I will say that at many a crossroads, I have chosen a path less traveled. When you set out on a lesser known path, the odds that you will lose are higher, and therefore, the stakes are higher too. Very few will stand by and support you,  there will be those who will watch you from the sidelines, those who will shun you and yet others who won’t know whether to admire you or envy you. It will hurt or it may not but slowly you will get used to the numbness. And the ache.

In the end, it is only you and a handful of people who will know that the path you chose has made all the difference and strangely enough, not much else will matter.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I —
I took the one less travelled by,
and that has made all the difference

~ Robert Frost
