To Canberra, With Love.

March 11, 2013

The BBC published an article last Saturday, a week ahead of Canberra's official centenary ; Canberra - Deathly Dull at 100 which has disturbed many a Canberrans. We love our city, how dare someone refer to it as "devoid of soul" . The writer is grossly mistaken because our Canberra is all about soul, thank you very much.

You somehow get out of bed long enough to be able to feed the kids and bring them to school. You come back home, call in sick, crawl under your doona, have a panadol or two and sleep the day off , right?

January 22, 2013

"You have got to give things a go!" He said. I was overwhelmed by John and his immense passion for life, his positivity and his vigour. I want to learn more about this inspiring man, I told myself. I wanted to hear more about his journey of life. The power of the internet is sometimes mesmerising. I cold-emailed John, requesting him for a conversation, inviting him for an interview. And as luck would have it, in a couple of days, he gladly obliged.

What I Love About My Son Having An Ipod!

January 12, 2013

Over the Christmas break and school summer holidays, the iPod has become FS1's best friend and fair enough, he has been waiting for it for TWO whole years after all ! Sarcasms aside, R has waited quite patiently so it is a well deserved birthday present and absolutely no surprise that I have now lost a son to the world of iTunes, iPod apps and games I had no idea even existed. Angry Birds is as far as I will go.
